This week in Maths we have been introduced to place value within 50. We have counted forwards and backwards within 50 and have represented our numbers using part-part whole models and diennes.

We are encouraging the children to use Doodle Maths at home to improve their maths fluency. If you do not know your child's login, please ask your class teacher.

In Geography this week we have learnt about the 4 seasons and the weather in the UK.

In DT this week, we celebrated our fantastic moving pictures that we created last week and evaluated them. We thought about if we were to do them again, how we could make them even better.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful half term and we look forward to seeing you back on Monday 20th Feb.

  • Great Fire of London

    Mon 06 Feb 2023

The Year Two children have had a fun-packed day consolidating their leaning about the Great Fire of London. They have been busy examining wattle and daub houses, writing with quills, learning to play 'London's Burning' on xylophones, target practice with water squirts, having a visit from a fireman and carry out drama.

They have been considering why the fire spread so quickly, how the fire was fought, how we know about the fire and how we keep safe today.
