Our Reception children brought their teddies to school today for a trip to St. Dunstan's Church. Reverend Michelle had the biggest teddy bear we'd ever seen! The children had a wonderful time listening to her bear story, singing bear songs, exploring the church, colouring bear pictures and enjoying the bear biscuits they had made in school for a picnic treat. Thank you to Reverend Michelle and St. Dunstan's Church for hosting us and to the brilliant parents and carers who helped us with the trip.
Each year group had a fun and informative road safety assembly yesterday. Thank you to Nickie from BCP council's road safety team.
What we will be learning next week:
On Monday, it is the final Year One transition day. On Tuesday it is the final circus workshop party therefore the report drop in session has moved to Wednesday 10th July.
In Maths, the children will be learning about money and recognising a variety of coins and notes.
In Literacy, the children will be retelling the story of Little Red using their new characters that they created this week.
In Science, the children will be looking at the structure of the tree and learning its different parts. The children will also be learning about two different tree types: deciduous and evergreen. They will be looking at a variety of leaves to see if they fit into the two categories and we will be learning facts about both.
Have a lovely weekend!
