  • Mucking about on the water

    Fri 12 Jul 2019

Our brilliant Year Two children have spent the day on the water, kayaking and paddle boarding at Poole Park with Rockley Watersports today.

We were absolutely blown away with their resilient 'can-do' attitudes. They all seemed to take to it like, well, a duck to water...

This tremendous bunch of children only have a matter of days left at Upton Infant School, but their attitudes and behaviour today showed just how ready they are for the next step on their journey.

  • Summer Fayre Fun!

    Thu 11 Jul 2019

It was a lovely afternoon for this year's Summer Fayre.  We hope the children and their parents enjoyed all of the things there were to do, eat, play and make.

The Summer Fayre is a key event in our school calendar which helps to raise valuable funds to provide valuable resources for our children. We have been really pleased to hear so many lovely comments from parents about this year's Fayre. Thank you very much to the families for coming along to support it.

We were delighted to have the support of Domio's Pizza and Papa John's Pizza who provided so many pizzas to feed the hungry crowds, helping to boost the fundraising total hugely! Thank you!

Last, but certainly lot least, we must also say a massive thank you to our wonderful PSA who work so hard throughout the year to put on so many fun activities for the children. They give so much of their time for free and have such a big impact on our school. Thank you. So many of our staff also go above and beyond to make this event happen. Thank you!

  • Raffle Prizes

    Thu 04 Jul 2019
The PSA have done wonders this year for finding some fantastic raffle prizes both for the children and adults.  If you haven't returned your tickets yet then please see Mrs Earl in the office.
  • Music to the ears!

    Wed 26 Jun 2019
We were very lucky to be visited by musicians from Lytchett Minster School today who gave the whole school a mini concert. The children really enjoyed watching and listening to the different instruments and we hope some of them might have been inspired to want to learn an instrument themselves one day.
  • High-5 Club's Trip to the Allotment

    Tue 25 Jun 2019
On Friday, some Year One and Two children spent the morning at the school's allotment, clearing the plot before it is handed over to its new owners. All of the children behaved brilliantly, worked extremely hard and certainly earned their many snacks!
  • From eggs to chicks

    Fri 21 Jun 2019
Our Reception children have had a wonderful insight into life cycles during their Amazing Animals topic. They had 10 hen eggs to incubate provided by Living Eggs. After a couple of days all 10 eggs hatched and we had 10 chicks to look after! The children loved watching them hatch, grow, sleep, eat, poo and chirp away! They named them and even got to hold one if they wanted to. What a fantastic experience.
  • Back to school Monday 3rd June

    Sat 01 Jun 2019

We hope that you are all having a brilliant half term break. We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday.

Inset day this half term is on Monday 24th June.

  • Picnic in the Park

    Fri 24 May 2019

Our Reception children spent a wonderful morning at Upton Country Park today investigating the plants and animals that live there through a range of fun activities. At lunchtime their families joined us for a family picnic to conclude this half term's topic 'Down to the Woods'. Thank you to everyone who came and helped us on the trip and to all the families who came to enjoy a picnic lunch with us too. The children were their usual fabulous selves and behaved brilliantly.

    Have a super half term!

  • Heigh ho, heigh ho, It's off to work we go!

    Fri 17 May 2019

A massive thank you to everyone who came to support our Reception Jobs Fete this afternoon. The children were employed in a wide variety of different roles including serving refreshments, hair styling, telling fortunes and car washing. Thank you also to the extra members of staff we begged, borrowed and stole who enabled the event to take place.

The fete was a roaring huge success and, through the generosity of the families that attended, we raised £470! We plan on using this money to improve our outdoor play equipment.

    Thank you all so much!
