  • Messy Bandana Fundraising Total...

    Mon 22 Apr 2019

Last half term the entire school took part in a ‘Messy Bandana Run and Bake Sale’ to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. We have now banked all of the donations and we would like to announce that the total amount raised was £3492!

We would like to thank all of the children and their families for this unbelievable effort. It will make a huge difference to this charity which is so close to our hearts.

    Thank you!

  • People Who Help Us

    Fri 05 Apr 2019
Our Reception children have been learning about 'People Who Help Us' this half term and as part of this were lucky to have lots of fantastic visitors who were happy to come in to school to talk about their jobs. Their visitors were a Nurse, a Doctor, two Midwives, a Police 999 Call Operative, some  Border Force Control Officers (including their dog), a Police Officer, Firefighters, a Ranger and our School Crossing Patrol Officer. They also went to Upton Library to see what a Librarian does. Thank you to everyone who offered their time and expertise to enhance the children's learning in such a fascinating way.
  • Dino Style

    Fri 15 Feb 2019
One of our favourite days in the school calendar took place this week - the Reception Dinosaur Fashion Show! We were so pleased to welcome so many family members into school to transform the children into 'bin bag dinosaurs'. A super afternoon ended with the children strutting their stuff on the catwalk. Thank you to everyone for making the afternoon such a fun and successful one.
  • Resilient Racoons

    Fri 08 Feb 2019
In Year One, children have been problem solving this afternoon to build a bridge between two chairs out of spaghetti and clay. They have been working as 'Teamwork Toucans', 'Communicating Crows' and having to demonstrate that they are 'Resilient Racoons'' when their bridges collapsed!
  • Snow Fun!

    Fri 01 Feb 2019
Well, as snow is such a rare event, a few of our planned lessons might have made way for a bit of fun in the snow today! Snow and hot chocolate - the recipe for a perfect Friday! We hope the children enjoyed themselves today. Have a lovely weekend everyone.
  • Dinosaurs Spotted in Upton!

    Fri 11 Jan 2019

Reception began their 'Dinosaurs Galore' topic with an expedition around Upton looking for signs of prehistoric life. Local expert palaeontologist 'Professor Bones' called the school to ask for help from the children as he'd heard that there had been some unusual sightings in the area. Of course our children were up to the task and excitedly set about hunting for clues. You won't believe what they found...!

  • Go Jetters Training Academy!

    Thu 10 Jan 2019

Year One had a challenging day today at the 'Go Jetters Training Academy' for the launch of their new Go Jetters topic!

The children practised their map and compass skills before learning some 'Funky Facts' about the United Kingdom.

At the end of the morning, they all received Go Jetter badges and certificates as they graduated as fully qualified Go Jetters!

    Well done Year One!

  • Super Singing

    Thu 06 Dec 2018
Mrs Gdesis took the Year 2 members of the school choir to sing at the Upton Christmas Community event this evening. The children sang beautifully, behaved wonderfully and looked fantastic in their festively accessorised school uniform. Thank you to all those children who took part and to those of you who came to support them.
