    The children were treated to a taster golf session today. It was a glorious day for a few rounds at Upton Infant School under the expert coaching of a golf professional from Sturminster Marshall Golf Club.

    This afternoon Mr Hesketh donned his bunny ears to lead the PSA's Bunny Bingo.

     

    The children had a lot of fun trying to get a line or a full house with lots of prizes to be won.

     

    Well done to the fabulous PSA gang for organising another super event to raise funds for our playground equipment.

  • Indian Festival

    Today the Year Two children finished their India topic with their Indian festival. There was singing, dancing, drumming and a range of inventive curries to taste. A great afternoon was had by all!

    Cricket was the name of the game today with coaches from Dorset County Cricket Club providing some expert coaching for the children. A great day was had by all.
  • Disco Fever

    The Spring Disco took place this afternoon. There were some 'banging tunes' being spun by the DJ with amazing dancing and a lot of fun being had by all. Judging by the smiley, sweaty children leaving the disco, they enjoyed themselves!

  • Marwell Animal Magic

    Our Year One children had a fantastic time at Marwell Park on Tuesday where they came face to face with penguins, giraffes and tigers. Judging by the tired grown ups at he end of the day they had a very busy day!

  • Red Nose Day fun

    Today children and staff came to school donning red noses and dressed in red clothing to help raise money for Red Nose Day. Thank you to everyone for supporting this worthwhile cause.

  • Quiz Night

    Our marvellous PSA team organised a fantastic St Patrick's Day Quiz night to raise funds for our Target 10 appeal to raise money to provide new playground equipment for the children.

     

    Fifty parents, friends and staff turned up to enjoy the 'craic' in a fantastic quiz compared by the now legendary Mr Hesketh.

     

    Thank you to the PSA and everybody who came along who helped to raise £460 towards the appeal. Well done everyone!

  • World Book Day

    The children have had a fantastic time today celebrating World Book Day. Everyone came to school dressed as a fantastic array of book characters including Mary Poppins, Fantastic Mr Fox and Cat in the Hat. The children spent the day immersed in books.

     

    Among the highlights of the day was a 'Swap Shop' where children could exchange one of their unwanted books for another child's.

     

    The staff were all dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland, and each child helped Alice to tell and write their own stories.

     

    A fantastic day was had by all!

     

  • Muddy Challenges

    The half term break is nearly over, but we have been delighted to see how many children took up the teachers' 'Muddy Challenges' over the holiday.

     

    The children have been out and about building dens, looking for minibeasts, jumping in muddy puddles, playing Pooh Sticks and much, much more.
