Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The children in Year One have been creating gardens of hopes and dreams which, apart from being beautiful, share the children's life ambitions.
There are so many really love gardens with very thoughtful ideas of what they would like to achieve.
This afternoon, the Frogs class visited our new allotment. They have spent the week talking about where food comes from and this will now provide them with hands on experience of planting and growing.
There is lots of work to be done to get it ready for planting next term, so if you are green-fingered and want to lend a hand getting it ready, then please speak to Mr Homer.
The Dragonflies and Otters will be visiting over the next couple of weeks.
Today we had the grand opening of our new adventure playground. Members of the PSA, School Council and the Turbary Trust helped cut the ribbon on a blustery morning.
Last year our wonderful PSA worked hard to raise £10,000 to fund the work. £5000 was kindly donated by the Turbary Trust, £2000 by Tesco's Bags of Help and £3000 from Upton Infant School PSA.
Thank you to everyone who worked hard for this - the children love it!
We are pleased to announce that we have just received notification that we can now have a lollipop person to keep our children safe crossing the road. We are now trying to recruit someone.
If you or any family member would like to become a lolllipop person; full training, support and a uniform will be given. This will include access to a pension scheme.
Timings are from 8.20am - 9am and 2.55pm - 3.40pm which is 8.33 hours per week at £7.78 per hour. Term time only (38 working weeks, paid for 43.15).

It was an absolutely lovely Christmas Fair today at Upton Infant School. There were crafts, gifts, games, fabulous turkey burgers, mulled cider and, of course, Father Christmas. Thank you for coming along and supporting the school. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
Well done to our stupendous PSA and the staff who gave up their weekend to help make this event such a success.
Everyone has gone dotty for Children in Need today. There were lots of fantastic spotty-faced children and Pudsey outfits being sported which helped us to raise £300 for this worthwhile cause. Thank you for your kind generosity.
