  • Gardens of Hopes and Dreams

    Mon 29 Jan 2018

The children in Year One have been creating gardens of hopes and dreams which, apart from being beautiful, share the children's life ambitions.

There are so many really love gardens with very thoughtful ideas of what they would like to achieve.

  • Visit to our new allotment!

    Fri 26 Jan 2018

This afternoon, the Frogs class visited our new allotment. They have spent the week talking about where food comes from and this will now provide them with hands on experience of planting and growing.

There is lots of work to be done to get it ready for planting next term, so if you are green-fingered and want to lend a hand getting it ready, then please speak to Mr Homer.

The Dragonflies and Otters will be visiting over the next couple of weeks.

  • Our New Adventure Playground

    Wed 24 Jan 2018

Today we had the grand opening of our new adventure playground. Members of the PSA, School Council and the Turbary Trust helped cut the ribbon on a blustery morning.

Last year our wonderful PSA worked hard to raise £10,000 to fund the work. £5000 was kindly donated by the Turbary Trust, £2000 by Tesco's Bags of Help and £3000 from Upton Infant School PSA.

Thank you to everyone who worked hard for this - the children love it!

  • Christmas Fayre

    Sat 09 Dec 2017

It was an absolutely lovely Christmas Fair today at Upton Infant School. There were crafts, gifts, games, fabulous turkey burgers, mulled cider and, of course, Father Christmas. Thank you for coming along and supporting the school. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did!

Well done to our stupendous PSA and the staff who gave up their weekend to help make this event such a success.

  • Tag Rugby

Tue 05 Dec 2017 Graham Antell
Well done to all the Year Two children who played Tag Rugby at the Yarrells school yesterday. They have only just started learning about the game and did themselves and the school proud. Lots of great tries were scored and Upton won some games and lost some close encounters too. A special mention to Charlie Hannam who played extremely well showing a great knowledge of the game. Thanks to the Yarrells for hosting the event.
  • Musical Mums

    Mon 20 Nov 2017
Our Year One children were treated to a musical afternoon courtesy of two talented musical mums. Mrs Robertshaw and Mrs Mutter played a variety of instruments and taught the children how the different shapes help to create different sounds. The children had a chance to play some of the instruments and conduct the orchestra.

  • Children in Need

    Fri 17 Nov 2017

Everyone has gone dotty for Children in Need today. There were lots of fantastic spotty-faced children and Pudsey outfits being sported which helped us to raise £300 for this worthwhile cause. Thank you for your kind generosity.
