  • The Annual Water Race

    Fri 15 Jun 2018

The Sports Day fun continued back at school this afternoon with the Water Race. The whole school were split into three teams with a Reception class, Year 1 class and Year 2 class in each. The aim was to get the most water into the team's tub by soaking and running along with sponges and then squeezing them out.

The overall winners today were the Red team which was made up of the Ladybirds, Dragonflies and Woodpeckers. Well done to all the children for really getting into the spirit of things and for a fabulous display of effort and teamwork.

  • Sports Day

    Fri 15 Jun 2018
Forget the World Cup - the highlight of the sporting year has just taken place at Upton Rec. A lovely day was had by all in the sunshine. Well done to the awesome pupils of Upton Infant School for embracing the true spirit of sports day: although it's nice to win, the important thing is taking part. Well done everyone!
  • Science Day

    Fri 08 Jun 2018

Today Upton Infant School was so lucky to be visited by the thoroughly entertaining Mr G who put on a super science show for everyone to take part in. There were wonderful whizzes and brilliant bangs and the children were totally enthralled and excited by the science he had for them to see and do. They all got to use their senses to get involved in the different activities on offer - sniffing different smells, exploring sound waves, experiementing with magnets, making static with balloons and many, many more! Thank you to Mr G for inspiring so many minds today.

  • Gorgeous Gardens

    Tue 05 Jun 2018
Thanks to our Gardening Club the school garden is looking absolutely wonderful at the moment. This week they all got to enjoy the fruits of their labours - literally, when they picked the strawberries and took them home to sample. Fantastic work from the children, Mrs Mutter and her team of parent volunteers.
