PARENTS AND STAFF ASSOCIATION (PSA)

The PSA was set up in November 2002 with the aim of raising funds for the purchase of equipment and to pay for extra activities for the children. The committee is made up of parents and members of staff and we also welcome new faces and fresh ideas. There have been a lot of events in the past year such as the Christmas and Summer Fairs, raffles and discos. These enabled us to buy many items to enhance our children's education and make life at Upton Infants even more fun.

Even though we help to subsidise school trips and a many other little things, our main focus this year is to renew the adventure playground.  This was originally built over 20 years ago by the Royal Marines.  It has now seen it's day and starting to look very sorry for itself.  However, as you can imagine, this is a very expensive project (roughly £20,000) and due to the vast amount needed the school would not be able to raise funds for the total amount.  We, as a PSA, have agreed that this year our fundraising will be going towards achieving that goal.  If anyone has some fantastic, achievable fundraising ideas then we would greatly appreciate it.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all those parents who are members of the PSA and help out on every occasion and the parents who support their child in bringing them to the various events that take place.
