Reception began their 'Dinosaurs Galore' topic with an expedition around Upton looking for signs of prehistoric life. Local expert palaeontologist 'Professor Bones' called the school to ask for help from the children as he'd heard that there had been some unusual sightings in the area. Of course our children were up to the task and excitedly set about hunting for clues. You won't believe what they found...!
Year One had a challenging day today at the 'Go Jetters Training Academy' for the launch of their new Go Jetters topic!
The children practised their map and compass skills before learning some 'Funky Facts' about the United Kingdom.
At the end of the morning, they all received Go Jetter badges and certificates as they graduated as fully qualified Go Jetters!
Well done Year One!
Only one more week to the Christmas fair so if you have got the time to fill a jar, then please bring them in next week.
We have a few, but remember to put your name on the bottom, as you can win a prize for best decorated. There is also a ‘Star Prize’ to win too on the Christmas Fair day.
Look below to see our fab 'Fill a Jar' so far.
