Welcome to Year Two's blog.
It's been a busy week at school as we head towards Christmas.
What we have been doing this week
This week in literacy, the children have written their 'Superhero Writing' to show what they have learned over the last couple of weeks whilst we have been looking at the story of 'The River'.
In maths, we completed our work on money. Children have been finding and adding to make totals.
In science we completed our work on materials, with the children planning and carrying out their own investigation into waterproofing.
What we are learning next week
In maths, we will be doing some Christmas - themed 'elf maths' each day next week. The children will be carrying out problem solving activities involving the four operations.
In our writing lessons next week we are going to be reading and writing Winter poems.
Next week, we will be honing our singing skills in readiness for our Christmas singing after school on Wednesday. We will also be doing some seasonal art activities.
There are no new spellings to learn for next week.
Wow Work
They've done it again! Well done Woodpeckers for topping the Reading and Doodle charts again.
