Year Two Blog 6th January

Welcome to Year Two

What we are learning next week

In maths next week the children will be learning how to use coins to find different ways of making the same amount. We will also compare different amounts of money.  You can read the knowledge organiser here.

In our literacy lessons next week we will be reading 'The Day the Crayons Quit'.  The children will be learning how to use apostrophes to show that we have omitted some letters when joining two words together e.g. you + are = you're.

In science next week we will learn about natural and manmade materials. The children will be given objects to sort according to whether they are natural or manmade. You can read the knowledge organiser here.

In history the children will be using primary and secondary sources to ask and answer questions about the Great Fire of London. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
