Welcome to Year Two
What we are learning next week
In maths we will continue to measure mass accurately in grams. We will also be comparing capacity. We will be pouring water from one container into another and deciding which has the greatest capacity. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In our literacy lessons the children will be reading 'The Dark'. We will be making predictions about what could happen in the story and we will be writing a description of the dark using adjectives and phrases from the book.
In Science we will be learning how seeds grow into plants. We will be looking at how our beans seeds have germinated and grown over the previous weeks. We will be also be discussing the different parts of a tree. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In Art the children will be designing a clay version of themselves and discussing what techniques they could use to create it e.g. joining, kneading, coiling and rolling. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In History we will be comparing the similarities and differences between hospitals in the 1800s and hospitals now. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
