Welcome to Year Two
What we are learning next week
In literacy we will be planning and writing a letter explaining why we believe lights should be left on. We will continue to read 'The Dark by Lemony Snicket'.
In maths next week we will learn how to measure mass in kg and g and capacity in litres and ml. We will compare different containers and objects.
In science the children will learn that plants need light, warmth, water and soil in order to grow. We will look at healthy and unhealthy plants and give reasons to why they are healthy or unhealthy.
In history we will be ordering the key events of Mary Seacole's life on a time line.
In art the children will use clay to make simple joins.
