What we have been learning this week

This week in literacy, we have been learning how to use the -ing suffix and have applied these words to create our very own wanted poster about the missing bear from our story.

In maths the children have been continuing with their multiplication by using arrays. They have been introduced to doubling numbers within 20.

In science this week we have learnt about the basic structure of a flower and they have labelled these parts.

Brilliant Computer Scientists

The children continued to look at instructions and identify errors.

Brilliant Geographers

The children looked at human and physical features in the local area.

What we are learning next week

In literacy we will be reading 'There is a Rang-Tan in my Bedroom' and we will be recalling facts. We will use our previous knowledge of how to write questions and answers.

In maths, we will be continuing to double numbers within 20. We will also be introduced to division by looking at sharing and grouping. Please see the knowledge organiser.

The children are going to be continue their work following instructions and they are going to use directional language e.g. left, right, forward, backwards.

This week the children are going to be looking at the human and physical features in Kenya and comparing it to the UK.
