Welcome to this week's Year One blog.
What we have been doing this week
This week in literacy, the children have been learning how to write questions and answer questions. They have learnt how to use question marks.
In maths, we have continued to partition 2 digit numbers within 20 into tens and ones using both concrete and pictorial resources.
This week we have been historians and we have been learning about historically significant people. We have been learning about Tim Peake and his mission to the International Space Station in 2015.
What we are learning next week
Next week in literacy we will continue to read 'Man on the Moon'. We are going to use this book to create a magazine article using what we have learnt from writing and answering questions.
In maths, we will continue to compare and order numbers. Please see more information by looking at our knowledge and skills organiser.
In history this week we will be looking at how space travel has changed over the last 60 years!
