Welcome to Year Two
We hope you had a lovely half term break!
What we are learning next week
In Maths we will be finding 10 more and 10 less of a number to 100 and we will be learning how to add and subtract two 2-digit numbers. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In our literacy lessons next week we will be reading the book 'We are Water Protectors'. At the start of the week we will be writing a list poem about water, rivers and waves. We will then write a fact file about water pollution and teach the reader how to protect rivers. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In computer science next week we will be identifying the correct keys on a keyboard. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In geography next week we will be learning the difference between a city, town and village. We will also be looking at the human and physical features in Upton. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
In our design and technology lessons we are going to be brilliant chefs and discuss the skills we would need to design and make an appealing menu e.g. chopping, grating, peeling and presentation. Using our prior knowledge from our science lessons, we will sort different ingredients into food groups. You can read the knowledge organiser here.
