Year Two Blog - 14th October

Welcome to Year Two

What we are learning next week

In Maths next week, we will be completing a maths assessment and we will also be continuing our learning about place value, addition and subtraction. You can read the knowledge organiser here.

In our literacy lessons next week we will be writing a leaflet about wolves using the facts we have learnt.  You can read the knowledge organiser here.

In science next week we will be consolidating all our learning from this half term. We will discuss the importance of a balanced diet, the importance of exercise and what humans need to survive. We will use this knowledge to design a leaflet to share with the Year One children.  You can see more on our knowledge organiser..

On Friday we will be having a 1950s party day and if your child would like to, they can wear 1950s style clothes. We will spend the day creating and burying a new time capsule full of information about school in 2022. We will be dancing to 1950s music, playing popular games and trying different foods. If you or your family have any memories of life in the 1950s then please share with your child or your child's class teacher so we can share these with children next week.

Next week in Jigsaw, we will be continue to think about how to make the right choices at school.
