Week beginning 1st March

Welcome to this week's home learning ...

Hello Year One and welcome to your last week of home learning!

We have our final weeks’ worth of learning ready for you and on Thursday we will be celebrating World Book Day!

Miss Sadler will be teaching Literacy this week and will be introducing a traditional tale as will Miss Best in our Guided Reading lessons. In Numeracy, Mrs Elliott will be showing us how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s by using coins. Science is our foundation subject this week and Miss Hector, our trainee SCITT student, will be teaching us all about plants.

Thursday 4th March is World Book Day and all the Year One teachers will be sharing stories and activities to celebrate the day. We will be exploring the author Tom Fletcher and will look at the stories he has written where creatures are stuck inside!

Throughout the week please upload your work to Tapestry as we would love to celebrate your efforts and don’t forget our Golden Assembly will be on YouTube at 2.30pm this Friday.

Enjoy your final week and we cannot wait to see you all back in school on Monday!

The Year One Team.
