Hello Year One,
It’s the start of a brand new month and we have some brilliant lessons to start off your first week of learning in February.
In Literacy this week, you will be working with Miss Sadler to retell the story of ‘The Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers. We will be using story maps and our ‘Talk for Writing’ skills to help us write our story together.
Miss Hector, will be teaching Numeracy this week and will be helping us to compare numbers using the vocabulary less than, greater than and equal to.
For our Reading lessons, we have three RWI videos to share with you on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday and Friday Miss Best will then be teaching us all about the moon as we explore a non-fiction text together.
For our foundation subject this week, Mrs Elliott will be teaching us Geography and we will be exploring different places and finding out which features are manmade and which are physical.
We are all so proud of the work that is being shared on Tapestry and everyone’s amazing efforts. Keep uploading the brilliant work you are doing and have another great week as our ‘Home Learning Heroes’.
The Year One Team.
