Word time / Ditties
This is the Read, Write, Inc. lesson to use if your child is working at a 'Word time' or 'Ditties' level for their phonics. A sticker letting you know which group your child is in has been stuck on the front cover of their home learning exercise book. If your child is finding this level too difficult please focus on just reading and writing the speed sounds and green words. There are also some words games to play in their home learning pack. If you feel your child needs an additional challenge, they can try the 'Red/Green book' lesson.

Here is an additional home learning activity to practise the skills learnt in this lesson.
Today's topic session is sharing the following powerpoint with your child. It's all about the signs of winter! Encourage your child to talk about the signs of winter that they have spotted. Maybe you could for a walk and spot some seasonal changes together!
In a cave in the woods,
in his deep, dark lair,
through the long, cold winter
sleeps a great brown bear.
