All children are encouraged to do their best at Upton Infant School. Children's hard work, effort, attitude and behaviour is celebrated at our weekly Golden Assembly on a Friday afternoon.
Each week, every class teacher chooses two children in their class who have demonstrated outstanding behaviour, effort or attitude to learning to be rewarded with Golden Certificates. The children's names are published each fortnight in the school's Parents' Newsletter.
Children who produce outstanding pieces of work are chosen to be celebrated in the Golden Book. The Golden Book contains work from all year groups and is displayed in the School Foyer for all to see.
Gold Coin Rewards
Every class selects a treat to work towards collectively. Individuals, groups or classes may earn gold coins for their class for demonstrating super attitudes in any aspect of school life. In each Golden Assembly, each class shares how many gold coins they have earned that week. Every class has a mascot which climbs a rung up the golden ladder for every 10 gold coins earned. Once the mascot reaches the top of the ladder (10 rungs), the class earn their chosen treat.
